I have a date, anyone have any tips?

okay, so this is my first date since my divorce... i met him online. we're both single parents in our 30s... we're doing the cliche dinner %26amp; a movie... i don't know what to wear, what movie to pick, what to talk about what NOT to talk about, how to make sure i stay safe if he ends up being a psycho! whether or not to kiss if it goes good...

i am so out of touch with the dating thing...

help!!

please??I have a date, anyone have any tips?
Just wear something nice and casual. And most importantly just be yourself and don't forget he will be nervous as well.

Have fun = )I have a date, anyone have any tips?
first of all dinner and a movie - the most dumbest date i could ever imagine. u meet him for the first time - why do u go to a movie? extremely dumb. u must go to dinner and then for bowling or dancing or drinks or walk (if weather permits). but movie? what re u, 12?

and about talking topics - health issues, politics and religion is out of question. u can do about anything else. also talking about how superior and great your kids re is really stupid and boring. so do not talk about kids either. what to wear? well, depends what restaurant u re going to - if it is a cheap diner wear jeans. also for me if a man ever took me to a cheap diner that would be the last time i saw him. otherwise wear a dress. simple one, not evening gown. men adore dresses.

about him being psycho - well, when i was single i used to meet guys on line and then meet for real - never ever even once i met even normal one. all were ugly and weird and yewww. so if i were u i wouldn't expect much. maybe u will be pleasantly surprised. good luck thou. and do not kiss him - licking is not permitted after a first date. u may hold his hand as a good bye.

just read your additional detail - well, messed up phone - bad sign. he doesn't have money for a normal phone or smth? i have never ever had my phone messed up. neither my kids nor my husband. the only one who had messed up phone was a poor student i met online when i was single and dating- he didn't have money to buy time. this is when he can not call. so i would take your credit card with u if i were u and i hope u will not buying dinner for him as well in a very expensive restaurant. u can call him, there is nothing qwrong with that. but to me, as a woman with high standards - i wouldn't call him and make appointment for a date with someone else. phone doesn't work - what he is, 12? and his mommy forgot to buy him time?
i would suggest you just act like your natural self and let the day juss flow. try to be unpredictable, for example if shows signs she wants to be kissed..lean close to her as if yu want to kiss her...then pretend to remove something from her ear...yu can say yu had seen a little spec of something then continue with the conversation. More women are impressed with men who act like themselves
